EL TIEMPO obtained unpublished images of that journey in which López was identified by several Venezuelans who began to surround him.

The issue was about to get out of hand when several Venezuelans began to shout harangues and approach him, despite security measures and regulations due to the pandemic.

“Leopoldo, beat Maduro so that we return to Venezuela.” ‘We want to return’, ‘Tumba a Maduro’, they began to shout, as they took him by the hands and back.
In the video, obtained by EL TIEMPO, López is seen entering a school, escorted by members of the Army.
The Venezuelan opposition leader came out of his exile in Spain to ask from Bogotá for an “international front” against Maduro after the Legislative elections that Chavismo called on December 6.

In an interview with EL TIEMPO, López called on Venezuelans to participate in the popular consultation that the interim president called Juan Guaidó. “We reiterate our call. This is a unitary expression around this right ”, said López.
