The crime of the historian and coordinator of Colombia Humana in Medellín, the professor Elías Galindo field, unleashed another fight between Mayor Daniel Quintero and representatives of Uribism in the city.
The local president published on his Twitter account what was Galindo’s last opinion column, written on his personal blog on September 14, entitled “EPM unleashes the local politics of Medellín.”
In that text, the historian assured that “those responsible for the financial, social and humanitarian tragedy called Hidroituango, supported by the Democratic Center, lack ethical credentials and policies to supervise and control EPM ”.
The mayor, after the death of Galindo, invited to read and share the column in which the Grupo Empresarial was criticized Antioqueño – GEA, uribismo and the members of the EPM board of directors who resigned a few months ago.
Even the representative to the Chamber María José Pizzaro, was asked in the same social network if Galindo was killed for that last publication about EPM, for questioning Uribismo and the GEA.
Politically, not only the Colombia Humana movement has rejected the crime. So did the Farc party and the Polo Democrático that have asked for answers to find out if Galindo was killed for that critical position in front of EPM and for his leftist ideas.
In addition, in this controversy the statements of the family were added who believes that the professor’s case is a political crime.
The historian’s sister, Doris Galindo, told BLU Radio that “In the family we have these signs and we are willing to investigate and confirm the hypothesis that it was due to political issues.”
To the trill of Mayor Quintero inviting to share the column of Professor Galindo, several Uribe leaders reacted.
Mayor @QuinteroStreet He is only interested in polarization, he applies the dirtiest strategies very well, and attacks us at the @Democratico systematically, it is irresponsible and disrespectful.
It seems that he still does not understand the responsibility of governing Medellín. https://t.co/DbFFtdb5mD

Mayor polarizing the city with biased statements is not responsible on his part, nor does he contribute to solving the structural problems that the city faces today. As councilor of the @Democratico I ask you respect for my party. https://t.co/HluhXE8E1N
