In the last hours the authorities reported the capture of Luis Neomar García, alias ‘Chómpiras’, allegedly responsible for the death of Oswaldo Muñoz, after causing a stab wound on October 28 for stealing his cell phone while the victim was traveling on a TransMilenio bus to the north of Bogotá.

The alleged implicated in the events was captured in the neighborhood El Callejón, in Cúcuta (North of Santander). The evidence shows that he came to this city to cross the border and return to his country of origin.

The Police assured that the individual painted his hair and grew his mustache to go unnoticed. According to the authorities, The thug would be one of the four members of the gang who carried out the robbery that resulted in Muñoz’s death, when he was on his way to his workplace.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigation and INTERPOL (Dijin) carried out intelligence tasks that made it possible to find the whereabouts of the person responsible for this event. La Dijin reconstructed the route along which the criminals fled to Iguaque station, located to the southwest of the Colombian capital.

In the scenes, revealed by RCN News, it is evident that on the day of the events, the victim was sitting on the TransMilenio bus, further ahead, in the main car, were the attackers, also passengers.

At 9:54 a.m., a time known as ‘off-peak time’, the attackers decided to go to the back of the bus, intercept Oswaldo, shave his cell phone and when he objected, one of them decided to stab him several times.

While the attack was developing, one of the subjects blocked the door of the articulated to make the escape easier. When they did not achieve their mission, they stabbed Oswaldo, got off the articulated and as if nothing, they walked out of the station.

Another video, already inside the station, reveals that one of the assailants pretended to speak on a cell phone, another jumped through the passenger access gates in the middle of the north highway and another walked along the edge of the station waiting to flee.

Minutes later, it was revealed that the assailants were running through the park on 83rd Street, near the scene of the events.

At this moment, the case is in the hands of the Prosecutor’s Office, who assure that they have already fully identified the aggressor. In addition, Oswaldo’s incident is in the office of a prosecutor from the Life Unit attached to the Bogotá section.

Since last October, the Bogotá Mayor’s Office reported that a specialized group from the Police Department took over the investigation into the passenger’s crime.
