Hours after the incident was known, a video generated a stir and indignation in Valledupar, since several witnesses affirm that Dangond fled after the tragic episode.
“He approached the scene, but apparently, as there were many people, he would think they were going to physically attack him. He continued towards the Seine traffic light and there a woman picked him up in a car, ”said Julio Fuentes, one of the people who was also injured in this accident.

“He is an illiterate person, with a good heart. He’d better have stayed there on my brother’s farm, which he has in Codazzi, running after the cows, as he likes. The desire to get a little house for his family made him stay in Valledupar ”, commented his sister.
From the moment the accident occurred, the doctors at the Santa Isabel de Valledupar Clinic, a healthcare center where Alejandro Nieves is admitted, have made efforts to save his life, since his condition is still delicate, as he presents pelvic fractures and several blows to his lower limb.
“He was operated on by orthopedics again for persistent bleeding at the focus of the fracture. Today his condition continues to be delicate with a reserved prognosis ”, assured Iveth Londoño, medical coordinator of the Santa Isabel clinic.
