This was reported by her friend and journalist, Pilar Velásquez, on social networks. In the next few hours, Salazar will be operated on for a fractured tibia.

Through a video posted on social networks by journalist Pilar Velásquez, it was learned that Juliana Salazar, a sports journalist for Caracol Radio, is admitted to a hospital after being the victim of a robbery in Bogotá. The reporter will have to be operated on in the next few hours.

Pilar Velásquez, her friend and colleague, posted a video on social media telling what had happened. “Last night the doorman of my building called me to tell me that Juliana Salazar was being held in an ambulance with broken legs. It turns out that a guy on a motorcycle tried to rob her when she was going to do her job, “he said.

Apparently, before the attempted theft, Salazar reacted, so the man ran her over with the motorcycle and caused a fracture of the tibia. “They have to operate it. She is very sore. This happened in Chapinero. It does not matter and there is no excuse: if you have the cell phone in hand, bad, if you have it outside, bad, if you have it stored, bad. Anything can happen, the issue of insecurity is worrying, “said Velásquez.

Salazar’s friend, through a trill, alerted the mayor of Bogotá, Claudia López, about the worrying insecurity. “Dear Claudia López, I support her with everything, but the security issue is failing us,” said the woman, who is accompanying Juliana to the hospital.

It should be remembered that on November 6, López assured that “Bogotá is not a Gothic city, nor is it in any pathetic crisis of insecurity”, since cases like Juliana’s are presented every day in the capital. According to the figures provided by the Capital’s Security Secretariat, all crimes have dropped, except for two: homicides and theft of bicycles.

Both the District and the Bogotá Police have assured that they are working to strengthen the security of the city.
