This dream was truncated and after a long trip from Spain, Gloria arrived in Jamundí, south of Valle del Cauca, to say goodbye to Juliana. She says that since last September 24 she has lived a nightmare.
“I was afraid to arrive, I’m already here and it hurts, it hurts. And it seems a lie that she is the one there, it seems a lie to me. I already touched it, I already saw it, but it still seems like a lie”He commented.
Although Dona Gloria has pain in her heart, her message is very clear.
“There are culprits, but, for me, the least guilty person is the soldier who killed my daughter, because I have seen these boys, I have lived in the countryside, I have seen what they suffer, the hunger they endure and the conditions in which they have them, the pressure and the mistreatment, “he said.
T-shirts stamped with Juliana’s photo and white flowers were part of the tribute paid to her by the family and friends of the murdered woman.
“She takes part of my life because she was the daughter that I never had“, He said Luz Dary Restrepo, her mother-in-law.
“We are going to remember her a lot, we are going to remember her with deep pain, we are going to remember her as that dreamy and happy woman,” said Katherine Vásquez, a friend of the victim.
The burial takes place on the afternoon of this Sunday, September 27, 2020 in the central cemetery of Jamundí, where Juliana was a native.
