Truth is a fundamental pillar of transitional justice. The JEP is part of a system that is based precisely on this, ”he added.
The former president, finally, assured that the questions to the JEP would continue because this is part of an electoral political strategy. “For the detractors there will never be enough justice or enough reparation. Fortunately, people are realizing that peace is better than war ”, concluded.

Uribe publishes his draft referendum to repeal JEP and reform justice
Two weeks ago, the former senator made the document public to discuss it with the Democratic Center and other parties. Initially, Uribe speaks of creating one or two high courts, “which would not have electoral functions with respect to the other branches of power.”
The former president also proposes a court of graduates “to create independence in the judging of congressmen and magistrates”, and a 30-member commission to implement the referendum.
