Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, one of the banners of the Colombian National Team, was denounced by the ASL of Turin, the entity in charge of public health in that country.

The complaint was made because the Juventus footballer left Italy to join the Colombian National Team, despite the strong restrictions in that country to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Juventus authorized the midfielder to leave for Barranquilla. As well as giving Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala permission to join Portugal and Argentina, respectively. These players were also denounced.

“Juventus informed us that the players left the isolation area, so we will notify this to the Prosecutor’s Office, which is the competent authority,” said Roberto Testi, who is the director of the ASL prevention department.

It is not yet known what type of sanction Cuadrado, Ronaldo, Dybala and Juventus itself could face.

The sanitary restrictions have been one of the main headaches for the South American teams to start the qualifiers.

In the case of Colombia, David Ospina could not leave Naples, while Mateus Uribe and Luis Díaz had to stay in Porto.

The South American qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will begin this Thursday with all biosafety protocols and empty stadiums.
