After the judge’s decision, Inpec will have to verify if there is any other arrest warrant or security measure in the Prosecutor’s Office, the Police or in another judicial office that prevents his freedom. Otherwise, you will have to comply with the judge’s order.
The lawyer Víctor Mosquera, who represents Noguera, pointed out that his client has two convictions, one for homicide and the other for illegal pursuits, and that the accumulation of the penalties was requested.

Consequently, the lawyer said, Noguera paid three more years of detention and now has the right to his freedom.
Noguera was sentenced for the homicide of Professor Alfredo Correa de Andréis to 25 years in prison and for the DAS “jails” to seven years. He was captured on February 22, 2007, but, with work and study, he managed to redeem his sentence in his confinement place.

In total, the former director of the DAS paid 208 months and seven days in prison.
In December 2017, the Prosecutor’s Office refrained from investigating Noguera Cote for the psychological torture of journalist Claudia Julieta Duque, as well as for threats against human rights defenders.

The lawyer Mosquera indicated that they will continue with the international resources that have been pursuing for the sentence in the sole instance issued by the Supreme Court of Justice, with which, they consider, they violated their procedural guarantees, human rights and their freedom.
