In April 2018, along with Younes, Armando Gómez España, Marlon Marín and ‘Jesús Santrich’ were captured, after the US justice pointed out that they participated in an agreement to send drugs to that country.

According to the investigation, they and Santrich were part of an illegal organization known as ‘the Family’, who tried to send 10 tons of cocaine to the United States.

According to the US authorities, Younes was in charge of searching for planes in the United States to transport the 10 tons of coca. According to him accusation, To complete the narco-shipment, Younes was making the connections in Miami.

In November 2018, the defense of businessman Younes had asked the Supreme Court of Justice to suspend the extradition request and send his case to the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP), But the Court denied that request, considering that he was not an alleged collaborator of the Farc.

The high court, on the other hand, endorsed in November 2019 that he was extradited, and only the endorsement that the President of the Republic must give remained.
