At the moment, it is not certain who the author of the recording is, but in this Ordóñez can be seen lying on the floor of the CAI of Villa Luz -Where he was transferred after the questioned procedure-, with his hands handcuffed behind his back and part of his shirt loosened, exposing his abdomen, which, according to the autopsy revealed by Legal Medicine, was one of the areas with the most injuries.

In the about three minutes that the video recording lasts, Ordóñez looks disoriented and desperate. Several times he languishes, it seems, from pain. In the background, a radiotelephone is heard.

At one point, he tries to compose himself, but it is evident that he no longer has enough strength. Then he manages to sit up, and that’s when you can see some injuries. Blood gushes from his right eyebrow, while other wounds are visible on his wrists.

Then, he falls at the feet of a man, who would be Wilder Salazar, his friend who was also arrested that night by the police. Javier, handcuffed and in the midst of his flustered state, repeatedly moves his hands, seeking relief from his wrists.

This video is a fundamental piece of the Prosecutor’s Office in the process that is being carried out against Harby Damián Rodríguez Díaz and Juan Camilo Lloreda Cubillos, linked to the murder of Javier Ordóñez and who this Monday were sent to the Facatativá jail for uniformed men.

Regarding this recording, Hugo Acero, Bogotá’s Secretary of Security, said that “the investigations continue.” “We have to wait for the prosecutors and judges to really determine what responsibility they have,” he added.

Rodríguez and Lloreda were charged last Saturday with the crimes of aggravated homicide and aggravated torture. The uniformed men, today suspended from the National Police, did not accept the charges and their lawyers raised a conflict of powers.

The autopsy performed by Legal Medicine revealed that Javier had “closed abdominal trauma, high energy. External traces of trauma in the left abdominal flank and left lumbar region that may correspond to a curved or round element “.

He also detailed a “right kidney burst, with complete section of the corresponding renal artery and vein. “In the body of the law student, according to Legal Medicine, there was” evidence of signs of immobilization. Ecchymosis on the wrists, with extremely visible marks and a regular pattern “, as well as a superficial and deep bruise in the soft tissues.

This case was known through videos recorded by friends of Ordóñez, in which it was shown how the two police officers carried out a procedure in which the law student was immobilized and, repeatedly, they applied electric shocks with a Taser (stun gun).

Due to these acts of police brutality, the country experienced a wave of demonstrations between September 9 and 10 in which 13 people died and there were more than 400 injured. This September 21, marches were also advanced for this case.
