Juan Camilo Lloreda Cubillos and Harby Damián Rodríguez Díaz had been patrollers of the National Police for more than 5 years. Both were assigned to the CAI of Villa Luz, western Bogotá, and now the two face a sentence of about 60 years for the death of citizen Javier Humberto Ordóñez Bermúdez.
Lloreda, a psychology student at the National Open and Distance University, gave investigators from the General Inspection of the Police his version of the events surrounding Ordóñez’s death for several hours.

The country only knows the video in which a taser gun is unloaded on it eight times. And the victims’ lawyer, Vadith Gómez, told EL TIEMPO En Vivo that he has photos of a forceful blow to the right side of the skull. “The victim did not die in the hospital. He was brutally beaten and tortured, ”said the criminal.
However, Lloreda gives another version.
“At the time that we are filling out the documentation, at 1:00 am, Mr. Javier Humberto Ordóñez says he feels bad, for this reason a police vehicle is requested to transfer him to the Partenón Clinic. The vehicle arrived at 1:05 am and we immediately transferred it to that clinic, ”he said.

And he added: “In order not to waste time, we went to the clinic, arriving at 01:08, and there we admitted him from the emergency room, where he was treated immediately at that time. And about 15 minutes later the doctor who is treating him comes out and informs us that Mr. Javier Humberto Ordóñez Bermúdez had died ”.
His partner in the institution involved in Ordóñez’s death is the patrolman Harby Damián Rodríguez Díaz, who also gave his version of the events.
Both erased all traces on their social networks. However, there are still some photos and even documents from her study, in which she talks about the Police and her colleagues.
And although the family of the victim warns about a possible escape, given the forcefulness of the evidence, they have already been expelled from the institution and are awaiting the judicial decisions made by the Prosecutor’s Office.

“We hope that the arrest warrants will be requested and that they will be immediately legalized and charged with aggravated murder and torture. In addition, it is investigated which other uniformed men must respond by omission, having allowed this atrocious act. There are already five more linked, ”said the lawyer.
We hope that the arrest warrants will be requested and taken immediately to legalization and imputation of charges of aggravated homicide and torture
A repeat offender?
In his testimony, Lloreda said that the neighbors had reported Ordóñez as a “repeat offender in the sector leading to fights.”
Even in the story about that morning they assured that Ordóñez would be involved in a strong argument with a woman.
In this regard, annotations are one thing and investigations or antecedents are another. And in this case, although data on annotations for domestic violence have circulated in networks, Ordóñez had no antecedents and nothing justifies what happened to him.
“This cannot happen to anyone again,” said Gomez, who also condemned the vandalism that broke out.

In his account, the patrolman Lloreda also pointed out that Ordóñez reprimanded them with rudeness and physically attacked them, hitting the uniformed men on the faces.
“He punches me on the left cheekbone and punches me on the back, causing my taser to fall to the floor; then, I stooped to pick it up and the citizen started to flee. I react and hold it with the taser, unfolding the second cartridge, which causes it to fall (…). When my partner was able to support me, we proceeded to try to reduce it by using moderate force to handcuff him, which is difficult, since this subject has too much force and we were unable to handcuff him, so I use the taser again ”, the story continues.
These statements differ from what the Ordóñez family has revealed so far, who maintain that the blows, added to the effects of the repeated application of electric shocks from the tasers, were what caused his death.
When my partner was able to support me, we proceeded to try to reduce it by using moderate force to handcuff him, which is difficult, since this subject has too much force
Photos and a threat
These beatings, according to versions that are in the hands of the authorities, occurred in the CAI of Villa Luz, northwestern Bogotá, when Ordóñez was in police custody. There are already videos of what happened inside the CAI. The autopsy, when revealed, will reveal what happened.
In this regard, the lawyer said that he had photos of Ordóñez’s body that they will contribute to the investigation and that would show that when Ordóñez arrived at the clinic he was already dead because he was livid.

He also said that one of the witnesses has already received threats. For now, it is being investigated if the patrolmen registered annotations of misconduct in their resumes.
