This Wednesday, during a virtual hearing, Police patrol officers Harby Damián Rodríguez Díaz and Juan Camilo Lloreda Cubillos spoke during the third session of the disciplinary trial for abuse of authority and the murder that follows them for the death of law student Javier Humberto Ordóñez.
At the beginning of the diligence, the patrolman Lloreda Cubillo read a letter in which he requested the nullity of all the proceedings, as well as the evidence collected so far.

He argued that his right to defense has been violated in the process because “because of” being deprived of liberty and without internet or telephone, I have not been able to find a trusted lawyer, “he said, adding:” I have not even been assigned a public defender “. He also said that there were irregularities in the notification of the investigation order, among other things.
However, the delegate attorney for the Public Force Hermán Rincón, who is in charge of the process, denied the request for annulment. He further said that It is false that he was not given a public defender, because in fact at the first hearing (on Friday, October 2) he resigned the assigned lawyer at the hearing.
Even that same Wednesday, Lloreda revoked the power of attorney that another lawyer had to represent him, and assumed his own defense.
Subsequently, the lawyer Jorge Páramo, Defender of the patrolman Rodríguez, asked Lloreda to ask some questions, to which he refused.

For his part, the patrolman Rodríguez did agree to answer the questions asked by his lawyer. The first thing he said is that he is 30 years old, and for 11 years he has been in the Police.
About what happened before the capture of Javier Ordóñez, the uniformed man said that he was with his partner Juan Camilo LLoreda on Avenida Cali with 26, in Bogotá, when they received information about a fight, and they went to the place, where a group of people were fighting, among them were people identified as fans of Millonarios “who apparently had had problems with Javier and his companions.”
Rodríguez went on to say that they asked people to dissipate, then “we got to 77a with 53 and we approached Javier and Wilder and told them to go home and avoid problems, and they began to insult us, to leave. There you bastards, toads, thieves, tombos, that was their problem, “he said.
He added that they waited with Lloreda to see if Ordóñez and his companions actually entered their homes and, when they went to start on the motorcycle, “Javier comes in front of the motorcycle, he lunges straight ahead, and hits my partner Juan Camilo Lloreda several times on the face, helmet and head “.
Given the situation, Rodríguez said that he followed Ordóñez to stop him, but then Wilder (Salazar) and Juan David, who were with the law student, went towards him, so, as a deterrent, he fired a shot at the On the ground, meanwhile, Ordóñez kept hitting Lloreda and although the latter drew his taser, he could not contain Ordóñez.

“The partner makes the second impact of the taser on his back, I manage to take him by one arm to reduce it. When we manage to reduce it, the three of us fall to the ground, my radio is loose and the only thing I can do is put my body so I can hold his hands while my partner tells him to put his hands behind him, so he can handcuff him. I managed to handcuff him only with one hand but he was a very big man, with a lot of strength “, narrated Rodríguez.
He said that although he did not see how many times LLoreda activated the taser against Ordóñez, he heard the sound “approximately 3 or 4 times”, but said that it was to neutralize it because he had a lot of strength, and he was a man of about 1.85 meters of height.
After this, another uniformed man arrived to support them to finish handcuffing Ordóñez and put him on the patrol in which they took him to the CAI. He continued by saying that he did not return to the CAI in that patrol, in which they also took Wilder Salazar, but that he arrived a few minutes after Ordóñez.
Upon arriving at the CAI, Rodríguez said, he went to wash his hands and saw that “comrade Juan Camilo Lloreda is hitting him with his feet approximately 4 times in the stomach and ribs.”

Given that, Rodríguez described, asked Lloreda not to hit Ordóñez anymore, But then he left the CAI together with another policeman to return to the scene of the events to collect more information and personal data. Within the CAI only Lloreda remained, he said.
When he returned to the CAI, he noticed that Ordóñez, whose back was turned, “is running to the back, we think he was hitting himself.” However, They then noticed that the law student’s breathing was weak and called a vehicle to transport him to a medical center.
“The handcuffs are released, I lift him by the arms and we take him out with Wilder and Juan David (who had arrived at the CAI) to the outside, they put him in the car. Afterwards the vehicle starts with the three of them in the vehicle, It starts for the Santa María del Lago clinic, and with Juan Camilo (Lloreda) we go to the clinic behind the vehicle “.
He ended by saying that when we got there “we had to take him by the arm and feet to the main resuscitation entrance, and I entered with Javier and the nurses until resuscitation. Juan David began to insult me, to tell me that he was going to kill me”, He said.
Later, he said, he learned of Ordóñez’s death.
Testimony of a friend of Javier Ordóñez contradicts them
This Wednesday, Wilder Salazar, one of the friends Ordóñez was with on the day of the events, was also heard in the hearing. Salazar narrated that he has known Ordóñez for 10 years, since they live in the same group, and that he was his best friend. He added that that day he met Javier and another friend, they wanted to have a few drinks and bought a bottle of whiskey and stayed for a while in a park.
Then, they went to Javier’s apartment and there they wanted to drink more so they went out to buy more liquor, on their way back from the store and when they were just arriving at the Ordóñez complex they met LLoreda and Rodríguez, who, according to what he said, told him: ” You can’t save from this ”to which Ordóñez replied:” Put the summons “, and one of the policemen replied:” No, there won’t be any appeals. “
After this, Salazar said, Lloreda made the first electrical discharge from the taser. “Javier falls to the floor, tries to get to the parking lot, then Damián (Rodríguez) gets off, between the two of them they tear his shirt and start giving him more shocks, “he said.
He began to record what happened, “my friend Juan David and I told them that he was already immobilized, but patrolman Lloreda continues to shock his skin, and patrolman Damián puts his knee on his neck and with a blunt object hits the head “.
At all times, he explained, Ordóñez begged that they not hurt him more, “but the patrol cars never stopped. That lasted between 6 and 7 minutes, a short time later many neighbors came down and all said not to hurt him more, not to attack him more . They were not shocks of 1 or 2 seconds, they were 6 and 7 seconds, very long, “he said, adding that lThe patrols hit Ordóñez in the face, stomach and back and Lloreda put the taser pistol on Ordóñez’s waist, “which is where the kidneys are, while the neighbors shouted not to attack him anymore.”

He continued saying that later several police patrols arrived, and one more police officer got on top of Javier. He said that at one point the patrolman Rodríguez saw that they were being filmed and demanded that Salazar stop doing it and hand over his cell phone, which he did not do.
Later they handcuffed him and Ordóñez, who was already on the ground beaten, picked him up and walked with several policemen. He said that upon reaching the vehicle in which they were transferred to the CAI “Javier is pushed and falls head-on against the floor (of the car), they hit him several times on the face and back” and then, as their feet were outside the vehicle and they could not close the door, “they bend their legs, put them under a chair and tie them up.”
He explained that when they arrived at the CAI, he stared at the window but noticed that at the entrance the policemen again hit Ordóñez, who falls to the floor, “Rodríguez and Lloreda insult him, they hit him in the face and on the back “.

He continued: “At the CAI that was a nightmare, the policemen insulted him, they hurt him a lot, they hit him several times with a brown wooden stick of about 50 centimeters. I told them please don’t hurt him more and so did he. it said ‘no more’ “.
He said that Javier was already very badly injured, and that he (Salazar) asked the police many times to take him to a hospital but that did not happen and that, in addition, all the time the two patrolmen told him to be quiet: “you He is not entitled to anything, not even a call, they told me they had all my data and could locate me “. He even explained that inside the CAI the patrolman Rodríguez took his documents and his cell phone.

He said that several other police officers arrived at the CAI, not only were Rodríguez and Lloreda present, and that he begged all of them to take his friend to a hospital, which did not happen.
At one point, he recalled, his friend Juan David arrived at the CAI, who managed to enter after pushing the door and saw Ordóñez on the floor, She walked over to him and put her hand on his nose and noticed that he wasn’t breathing.
“After much begging, they released the handcuffs and we were able to sit Javier, whose face and neck were purple, purple all over his body, he was pale and cold. When I grabbed his head and raised it, he felt disgraced, in I didn’t know at that time but he had already died, “he recalled.

Then, he said, they began to yell at the police to please call an ambulance, which never happened, so with his friend Juan David they took Ordóñez out of the CAI, put him on a Renault Duster patrol outside and told the patrol car to take them to a clinic, they arrived at Santa María del Lago in about five minutes, he said.
“We arrived and I began to ask for a stretcher or whatever because there was a very injured person, we sat him in a wheelchair, he was no longer breathing, he was pale, he had burns all over the place,” he said about how they entered the hospital.
Moments later, he explained, a nurse came up to him and said: “I’m very sorry, nothing could be done because your friend has already arrived dead.”
