Multiple blunt injuries to the head, shoulders and other parts of the body is presented by attorney Javier Ordóñez, who died as a result of an act of police brutality in Bogotá.

The blows, added to the potential effects of the repeated application of electric shocks from ‘taser’ type guns and the victim’s state of excitement caused the fatal outcome that unleashed the wave of protests against the Police in the country.

According to reports in the hands of the authorities, those beatings occurred in the CAI of Villaluz, northwestern Bogotá, when Ordóñez was in police custody.

Lawyer Vadhit Gómez, who represents the family of Javier Ordóñez – who died in the middle of a brutal police procedure – revealed details about the investigation in an interview with City TV.

He indicated that he has in his possession some photographs that show the blows that Javier Ordóñez received. “It has a “macabre blow“On the front right side”, everything indicates that he was “brutally attacked when he was transferred to the CAI.”

The lawyer pointed out that he is waiting to officially know the opinion of Legal Medicine, but that it is clear to him that Ordóñez was “victim of torture in that CAI”.

Gómez said that he also has in his possession several videos that show that there are not only two policemen involved in the case, “a fight is not observed, it is not observed that the police had the purpose of mediating a fight. The information What we have is that the uniformed officers approach those involved, follow them to their place of residence and in part, before entering, they have a conflict with the victim, they reduce it and in an infamous way, even though the victim requests and pleads for his life, they continue to attack him with the Taser “.

The lawyer assures that his hypothesis is based on the fact that Ordóñez at the CAI was beaten and arrived dead at the clinic, “we have a witness who affirms that a doctor told him:” he arrived dead from the beatings.

The family representative pointed out that he is concerned because despite the evidence and elements collected there is no decision from the Prosecutor’s Office, “we do not know what will happen to those involved, if they are going to escape.”

According to the lawyer, what should be done in this case is to issue the arrest warrant as soon as possible.

For his part, the Minister of Defense, Carlos Holmes Trujillo, assured that Friday morning that the policemen who killed Javier Ordoñez had already been summoned to indictment of charges for homicide and abuse of authority.

The suspension of their charges was notified to proceed to remove them from the institution and the evidence is not tampered with and the information is not obstructed
