The two clubs Manchester, City and United, as well as Everton and Newcastle validated their tickets to the quarterfinals of the English League Cup on Wednesday, in a round of matches without surprises.

The closest to the cliff was Newcastle, which from the minute 5 was seen from behind against the Welsh club Newport (4th division). The ‘Magracas’ had to wait for 87 to tie and finally they took the ticket to quarters in the penalty shootout (5-4).

On Thursday, Brentford and Stoke City, both from the second division, will be the last tricks for the teams of the lower divisions. They will face Fulham and Aston Villa respectively.
