President Duque declared that Colombia, which assumed the pro tempore presidency last July, It is promoting the reinforcement of integration and last month it proposed the Andean environmental charter at the CAN ministerial meeting.
“We are working with the Secretary of the CAN (Jorge Hernando Pedraza) to draw up the Andean Environmental Charter very soon, where we have topics such as the fight against deforestation, access, in addition to the energy transition, with non-conventional renewable energies, circular economy and also the protection of high mountain ecosystems or páramos ”, stated President Duque.
