The court ruling warns that to advance the retraction, Echeverri “must issue a statement in which it makes known to the media and social networks reported in the present protection action that it made an error when spreading a message whose content was not verified ”.
Furthermore, the document indicates that “the affirmations contained in the letter of September 5, 2020 addressed to the director of the newspaper El País of Spain, were harmful to the rights to good name, honor and freedom of expression of Mr. Iván Cepeda Castro ”.
