The senator for the Polo Iván Cepeda, son of the former congressman and leftist leader Manuel Cepeda, reacted this Thursday to some of the sections of the correspondence from ‘Tirofijo’, in which his father is mentioned.

According to the political scientist Luis Daniel González, who commented on some passages of a book in which the messages of the late head of the Farc are condensed, in some emails ‘Tirofijo’ mentions the father of Iván Cepeda and says that he was the person of the Communist Party with whom the FARC they maintained communication.

According to the groups, the guerrilla commanded by ‘Tirofijo’ was committed “to the candidacy of Manuel Cepeda” to Congress, as read in a message from February 1994.
