More details are known about the investigation carried out by the Attorney General’s Office on the murder of Juliana Giraldo at the hands of a National Army soldier in the rural area of ​​Miranda, in the department of Cauca.

The first conclusions of the investigation contradict what the soldier said, who assured the Institution that he fired at the tires of the vehicle, the bullet hit the ground, bounced and hit Juliana.

According to the investigating body, the projectile that hit the woman did not rebound “but it was a shot in a straight line”. Likewise, they assured that the checkpoint mentioned by the military man never existed, because signs used for a checkpoint were not found in the place.

The soldier, who is being held at the military base in Miranda, Cauca, psychological tests were carried out from the moment the events occurred. The results of this evaluation are still awaited.
