The delegate for Citizen Security, Carmen Torres Malaver, and the coordinator of the Prosecutor’s Office team, Mauricio Noguera Rojas, assured that A process with a differential approach will be carried out and with all the necessary investigative, criminalistic and forensic protocols.
“The most important thing at this time is to be able to determine if Juliana’s gender identity was relevant or not in the occurrence of the events,” Noguera revealed.
The investigating entity revealed that it had the support of an expert to introduce the differential approach in the framework of the investigation, specifically with a gender perspective that gives an account of the gender identity of the victim.

The Ombudsman, Carlos Camargo, said, for his part, that what happened shows that there are members of the Public Force who are not doing their job correctly and therefore changes must be made.
“From the Ombudsman’s Office we demand investigation into the deepest causes, at the same time we urge the National Army to collaborate with the investigation with absolute transparency, “he said.
The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights also rejected the murder of the woman and called for differential treatment, respecting the identity and gender expression of the victim, while reminding us of what the role of the National Army should be.
