‘It is not tax reform, it is financing due to the pandemic’: Duque – Politics

President Ivan Duque, assured this Friday, April 2, in dialogue with Caracol Radio, that the application of the tax reforma will be like a financing to the country, due to the economic crisis as a consequence of the covid-19 pandemic.

“It is not a tax reform, is about financial and protect the country socially in the midst of the pandemic and for the next few years, the economic consequences that it has brought ”.

He assured that no measure of a tax or fiscal nature that is adopted will come into effect in 2021. All are planned to be generated in the 2022, and added that for the following year there could be a global debt crisis.

“We want Colombia to have a good economic solvency,” said the president. And he emphasized the high unemployment rate, where he attributed that young people are the ones who have been most affected by the pandemic.
