In the usual government program, the Minister of Transport, Angela María Orozco, gave the list of the first 7 destinations of international flights that will be reactivated as of September 19 in 4 air terminals in the country: the Alfonso Bonilla Aragón Airport, in Cali; El Dorado, from Bogotá; the José María Córdova, from Rionegro, and the Rafael Núñez, from Cartagena.

These are the first destinations for commercial international flights:

1. United States
2. Mexico
3. Dominican Republic
4. Brazil
5. Ecuador
6. Bolivia
7. Guatemala

All the countries are from the continent and do not need stopovers. The Minister of Transport assured that other destinations are evaluated, but that it is a gradual process in which 3 criteria are applied: level of opening of flights in those countries, operating capacity of airports complying with biosecurity protocols and the commercial interest of the airlines.

For his part, the Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, stressed that the PCR test of COVID-19 will be required of all travelers who intend to enter Colombia on these international flights; the result cannot be greater than 96 hours before the flight; They must also fill out an immigration form 24 hours before traveling to Colombia. In the other case, those who leave the country must take into account the requirements of the destination country and verify that they meet the requirements before traveling.

A PCR test should always be performed by anyone who is going to come to Colombia. This PCR test must be no more than 96 hours before the flight time. You have to calculate from the time I leave, 96 hours before and that is the validity that the PCR test must have and that to enter the country

said Minister Ruiz.

All travelers leaving Colombia must be at the airport a maximum of 3 hours before and there will be no food service for flights less than 2 hours. The Minister of Health reiterated that all travelers should wear a mask throughout the journey and recommended those who have flights longer than 2 hours Bring a spare mask.

Regarding airports, the Minister of Health assured that the use of carousels should be maximized to delivery of suitcases to those who arrive in Colombia to avoid crowds and that will have to be allocated Specific carousels for those flights from destinations highly affected by COVID-19.
