Last Friday, December 11, two men tried to assault a driver on the streets of Morelia, capital of the state of Michoacán (Mexico).
However, the thieves didn’t get away with it: the driver managed to escape and when the criminals were preparing to flee, he returned to run them over.
The attempted assault, committed on Camelinas Avenue, located south of the city, was recorded on video captured by a security camera.

In the recording, it is observed when the bandits get off a motorcycle and intercept the man’s white car, which has just left a currency exchange. The criminals pointed weapons at the car window, however, the citizen was not intimidated, so he accelerated the vehicle and fled.
A few meters later he stopped the car, he quickly reversed to where the assailants were and ran them over as they were getting back on his motorcycle.

Although the thieves fell to the ground, apparently they were not seriously injuredSo they got up immediately and ran down the platform.
When they reached the corner, they were intercepted by the driver whom they wanted to take of their belongings.

The recording has gone viral on social networks, through which Internet users have applauded the actions of citizens and have regretted that crime is forcing people to take this type of action.
According to local Mexican media, the case was not reported to the Prosecutor’s Office.
