The National Civil Service Commission reported that interested parties can consult the agreements and advance registration in the Support System for Equality, Merit and Opportunity (SIMO). Entries for this merit contest will take place between January 12 and 28, 2021.

After more than 12 years without hiring personnel, DIAN opens the doors to adjust the payroll with 1,500 administrative career officials for the same number of positions that are provisionally.

The National Civil Service Commission, in coordination with the National Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN), announced that it is opening a merit contest to fill these 1,500 vacancies. According to the Government, the positions that will enter the contest are 1,410 of the professional level, 65 technical and 23 of the healthcare area.

The convocation will be developed in two phases: the first, an examination of integrity, knowledge and basic skills, and the second to select missionary positions, a training course.

The call is part of the DIAN modernization plan that will make it possible to fully implement the electronic invoice and attack tax evasion and avoidance.

In the financing law, the Congress of the Republic empowered President Duque to issue a specific regulatory decree for the collecting entity.

DIAN points out that this first contest seeks to end the imbalance that exists today in the proportion of provisional and career civil servants. Currently 54.3% of the civil servants are provisional, while 45% correspond to administrative career.

The call of the National Civil Service Commission says that those interested in participating in the call can enter www.cnsc.gov.co and consult the rules of the selection process.

To participate, those interested must read the agreement and technical annex of the selection process, register in the Support System, for Equality, Merit and Opportunity (SIMO).

Likewise, they must comply with the minimum requirements of the job chosen by the applicant, indicated in the public offer of career jobs of the DIAN and fully accept the rules established in the agreement.
