At the request of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, the 42nd Municipal Criminal Court of Medellín imposed an assurance measure in a prison against JF Mosquera Sánchez, as allegedly responsible for aggravated femicide.
The events occurred on the night of January 4 in an apartment in the La Aurora neighborhood of Medellín, when, after an argument, the investigator allegedly wounded his mother Luz Estela Sánchez with a knife, causing her death. After the attack, the perpetrator fled the scene.
According to the investigation carried out by a Prosecutor of the Immediate Reaction Unit (URI), Mosquera Sánchez would have attacked his 50-year-old mother, because she asked him to turn off some light bulbs in the building to save energy and complained that make financial contributions to the home.
Faced with the permanent siege of the researchers of the Technical Research Corps (CTI), the alleged aggressor appeared before a police station in the municipality of Bello, Antioquia. There, the uniformed men took them to the Caribbean office of the Prosecutor’s Office where CTI servers of the Prosecutor’s Office materialized the arrest warrant against them.
Mosquera Sanchez did not accept the charges charged by the Prosecutor’s Office.
The Prosecutor’s Office revealed that the 31-year-old accused has already been sentenced for the crime of domestic violence against one of his sisters.
