Just like last weekend, the capital will have mobility restrictions at night. Find out here how the measure will work during this holiday bridge.
Seeking to counteract the risk of contagion and preventing the rapid arrival of the third peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in Bogotá, the District imposed the curfew measure during the last four days of Holy Week.
The decision is made, taking into account that the capital registers a total ICU occupancy of 64.8%. This implies that the curfew must be implemented, which will operate from this Wednesday, March 31 to April 5. In this way, the opening of businesses and the transit of people from midnight to 5:00 am will be prohibited.

Added to this, it should be remembered that churches must operate with a maximum capacity of 35%, that processions and visits to monuments are prohibited, in addition to the fact that the Monserrate hill and the July 20 church will not receive people during the festive bridge .
With these measures, the District seeks to avoid a high number of infections (as happened after the Christmas celebration last year) and thus not to collapse the ICUs of the hospital centers, taking into account the high probability of a third wave of infections.

“For those who are a religious celebration, we invite you to celebrate them from home. Processions are not allowed, nor are the visits to monuments, the road to Monserrate, the washing of feet, nor the Stations of the Cross. Everything has been in common agreement with the Church due to the pandemic, ”Claudia López said a few days ago.
On the other hand, on the morning of this Wednesday the District delivered a balance of the COVID-19 situation in Bogotá, in which it was reported that although the pandemic has been handled during these last two months, it is of vital importance to increase the care and biosecurity measures so that the third peak of infections is not as high as the second.
