A new case of theft through the blockbuster modality was registered this Monday in a bank in the north of Cali.
At around 4:00 pm, an armed man entered the BBVA bank office located on Avenida 6N and Calle 42 Norte, intimidated one of the cashiers and fled the scene, according to the authorities’ report.
The perpetrator of the theft escaped on a motorcycle with another subject who was waiting for him outside the bank.
Although initially the police patrol that attended the case had been alerted that the incident had occurred at the Chipichape shopping center, it was later clarified that it was not at that establishment.
“From that precise moment our Metropolitan Police of Cali deploys all its capacities to identify the motorcycle and the two subjects that were in it and at this moment we are already collecting spoken testimonies of the subjects to later locate them,” said Guillermo Londoño, undersecretary of Cali Security Policy.
The Police reported that the amount of the theft is unknown and announced that there is a person accused of the act, who was transferred to a station of the institution.
In this regard, Undersecretary Londoño published a video on his Twitter account at around 9:30 at night in which he assures that one of the alleged criminals was captured.
