In different media it was known that last weekend the former president Álvaro Uribe met at his farm in Ubérrimo with Fuad Char, the maximum leader of that family, and his son, the former mayor of Barranquilla Alex Char.
Of course, speculation about what was discussed in that meeting revolve around possible alliances with a view to the 2022 presidential elections.
As has been customary in elections for the last 12 years, the candidate named by Uribe plays a very important role in the contest, which is why many seek his wink.
This time it seems that things are not different and hence the big question: What is the plan of the ex-president in that sense?
Everything indicates that it will be the following: on the one hand, the Democratic Center will do its own consultation and a candidate will emerge from there. The Conservative Party will do the same.
On the other hand, the evangelical movements will have Pastor Milton Rodríguez and the candidates who call themselves from the regions would consult with each other, that is, the former mayor of Medellín Federico Gutiérrez, the former governor of the Valley Dilian Francisca Toro, and the former mayor of Barranquilla Alex Char.
So, everything indicates that between these factions the right-wing card would be formed and from which the candidate who would finally support the former president would emerge.
