Yuli Daniela Patiño, 25, was reported missing on December 25 in the Manrique La Salle neighborhood, where she was last seen.

The last person who had contacted the woman, according to the first versions released to the authorities, was her ex-boyfriend, who initially said that she had boarded a taxi and left.

However, a series of events began to dispel the doubts that existed about the case: the young man, first, tried to take his own life through a traffic accident, reported Blu Radio

Later, when he failed in his attempt, he surrendered to the Prosecutor’s Office, confessed that he murdered Yuli Daniela and threw her body into the Medellín River, according to the station.

The 30-year-old was sent to a transitional center while an arrest warrant was being issued against him for the murder of Yuli Daniela Patiño and there he was found dead, after apparently injuring himself with a knife.

Upon hearing the news, those close to the young woman went to the sector of the Mico bridge, in the north of the capital of Antioquia, to search the Medellín river for the young woman’s body.

The police and the Dagrd joined the search, which with drones tracks the area to find the body.
