In a conciliation that has just ended in the Supreme Court, Senator Gustavo Petro agreed to issue a statement retracting the accusations against Ramiro Suárez Corzo.
“This is the former mayor of Cúcuta Ramiro Suárez Corzo. The evidence shows him as the author of the attack against me. I denounced him as a genocidal of Norte de Santander. He owns the government of Cúcuta from prison. The Santos government lets him govern “he wrote on March 4, 2018.

The trill that Petro must rectify came after a confusing incident in Cúcuta when he said that his truck had been shot.
The Prosecutor’s Office assured that the investigations carried out made it possible to establish that the attack against the then presidential candidate was with a stone.
The tests carried out later on the vehicle and the security videos of the sector allowed to clarify what happened.
‘Yes there was a plan’
However, after EL TIEMPO reported on the conciliation, Petro issued a trill in which he said that he will not retract that there was a plan to kill him that day.
“Gentlemen @ELTIEMPO I do not withdraw from any plan, either supposed or real, because I did not plan to assassinate myself. The plan and the facts existed. They tried to assassinate me in the city of Cúcuta in the demonstration that Mayor Cesar Rojas unconstitutionally prohibited”

At the time, the Prosecutor’s Office issued an opinion on the matter that today took the Colombian senator Humana to court.
