On Tuesday afternoon it was known that two members of Colombia Humana were ambushed and killed in less than a day. Eduardo Alarcón in Huila and Gustavo Herrera in Cauca.
That provoked the rejection of various sectors, and even Angela María Robledo, former vice-presidential candidate for that political movement, addressed to President Iván Duque to ask if it is of a “pre-election extermination” of the opposition in Colombia.
But Gustavo Bolívar, senator of the Decent movement, was more direct in his remarks to Uribism and blamed the ruling party for being behind the crimes. In addition, he directly mentioned the head of state and the party leader, Álvaro Uribe.
This was his Twitter post, in which he also included Campo Elías Galindo, another Colombia Humana member assassinated earlier this month:
Duque, Uribe: for every leader who kills us, thousands will be born.
A peaceful revolution like ours does not stop it at all.

Faced with the affirmation, the Democratic Center spoke out on Wednesday to reject Bolívar holding Duque and Uribe responsible for these “recent deaths in Colombia.”
The party said it’s a statement that with “his inability to debate”, the senator is putting his militants at risk and asked justice for protection:
“The bullying, hate speech, continuous harassment and systematic defamation by Gustavo Bolívar against our militants and party requires the protection of the moral integrity of individuals and the community, by justice.”
They consider the congressman’s words as a “false, serious” and “infamous statement” because, they say, they also “hurt all the deaths and violence suffered by Colombia regardless of the political affiliation of the victims.”
All this, says the statement, led the party to make the decision to denounce this “hate speech” and slander before the courts to “defend the good name” of its community.
