The preliminary report indicates that at 9:29 on Saturday night, at the station in the Santa Mónica Popular sector, a man approached a woman, whose identity has not been provided by authorities.

Apparently, without saying a word, the man, who had his face covered and wore a cap, a white jacket with spots of various colors and sports shoes, took out a gun and pointed it with both hands to shoot, just one meter from the victim .

The woman fell to the ground and her death was almost immediately, according to the police.

The victim was hit twice, one to the head and the other to the chest.

One version would indicate that the aggressor entered as a passenger and went to commit the crime. Another testimony indicates that he jumped onto the station platform, whose doors remain open because they are subject to damage attributed to users.

At the time of the attack, there were two minors. The MIO station, at 25 intersection with 28 Norte Street, remained in service during extended hours for the day without VAT in Colombia.

No details have been established on how the attacker escaped from the scene.
