Clara Luz Roldán, governor of Valle del Cauca, is quite concerned about the daily cases of COVID-19 that are reported in the department. She assured that, if social indiscipline continues, she would make restrictive decisions such as a curfew throughout the territory.

According to the figures revealed by the president, the UCI capacity of Valle del Cauca is at an alarming 80%.

“We are very concerned because we went from having 400 and 500 cases a day to 700 and 900. We are concerned that the Hospital Universitario del Valle has 25 children with COVID-19, of which 5 are in the ICU. We have clinics at 100% capacity. We have to ensure that intensive care units are available for any situation, ”said Roldán.

The governor assured that she has already spoken with the mayors of the 42 municipalities of Valle del Cauca to decree restrictive measures if the coronavirus figures continue to increase rapidly.

“We issued a decree in which we prohibited public and private celebrations. If the indiscipline continues, we would decree a curfew, this would be from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am, this would be a decision agreed with the mayors of the department “, concluded Roldán.
