Governor Gaviria will request endorsement to decree a curfew in various municipalities of Antioquia

Through his Twitter account, the governor of Antioquia, Aníbal Gaviria, reported that there will be mobility restrictions for seven of the nine subregions of the department due to social indiscipline and the increase in cases of COVID 19.

It is a restriction on mobility, that is, a curfew, that will apply in the municipalities of the east, southwest, west, north, northeast, Bajo Cauca and Magdalena Medio.

This measure will be in force between 00:00 and 6:00 in the morning and will go from this Saturday December 11 to January 3, 2021.

For now, there are no known restrictions for the Urabá subregion nor additional to those of Sabaneta and La Estrella, in the Aburrá Valley.

According to Governor Gaviria, this measure was agreed with the mayors of these regions to avoid more agglomerations that become sources of COVID – 19 infections.

Precisely, this Thursday the INS reported 1,271 new cases of COVID-19 and 15 deaths in Antioquia. So, the department adds 225,712 infections and 4,269 deaths.

By municipalities, the deaths reported by this judge correspond to 4 in Medellín, 2 in Rionegro and from a case to the municipalities of Caldas, Envigado, Itagüí, La Ceja, Urrao, Bello, El Retiro, Caicedo and Marinilla.

Occupancy of ICU beds with COVID and non-COVID patients is at 77%.
