During his ‘Prevention and Action’ program, President Iván Duque announced the latest measures announced by his Government to face COVID-19 in the country.

The Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, indicated that “Colombia has a strategy defined for several months for access to the vaccine against COVID-19, it includes the participation of the country with another 180 countries (…) availability is scheduled for the first half of 2021.

To ensure vaccination of priority groups, the minister recalled that 10 million vaccines were already negotiated with COVAX.

For his part, the president assured that the expected vaccine will be paid for by the State and will be distributed free of charge.
