reSince next January 4, which is the first business day of the year 2021, the Ministry of Finance of the Santander capital will settle its receipt for the Unified Property Tax and it will be completely online.

This was announced by Saharay Rojas Téllez, head of the aforementioned agency, while pointing out that more than 30 thousand people will have their account statements in their respective emails, text messages or in the electronic mechanisms that each one decides.

According to the official, each taxpayer will be able to obtain their receipt by entering the page: taxes.bucaramanga.gov.co

“In the same way, they should leave us their data to send their receipt in the mechanism that is provided to the taxpayer,” said Rojas Téllez.

In accordance with the expectations that are had, despite the obvious difficulties due to the pandemic, the Municipality expects to raise $ 137 billion in the period 2021: “we are fully confident that it will be a great year for the Bumangues.”

Rojas Téllez recalled that “fortunately it was possible to stabilize the taxable base of the Property Tax with a zero economic effect for the taxpayer, in terms of the application of the cadastral update, generating legal certainty.”

“It should be remembered that with the decision taken by the Council of State to revoke the precautionary measure, the cadastral update would remain in force. This decision would affect social strata 1 and 2, 3 and some of 4 “, he noted.

According to her, the Municipal Government wanted to avoid future increases of 60% and 80%, and that there is no retroactivity of the cadastral update in this difficult situation caused by the pandemic.

Thus, “the liquidation of the Property Tax for this 2021 will not be higher than the increase in the Consumer Price Index, also attending to the requests of citizens, unions and councilors.”
