From his opinion column for the newspaper La República, Junguito Bonnet recently spoke about key issues in the economy. In one of his last writings, he highlighted the lessons of the historical crises for the management of the current crisis generated by Covid-19. “To overcome the COVID-19 crisis, the full restoration of economic activity will require in the near future the adoption of fundamental structural reforms in the tax, labor, pension, commercial and financial fields. To achieve this, historical experience indicates that it is essential to consolidate a national consensus around the reforms and the determined support of political parties, Congress, unions and the private sector, as well as multilateral credit organizations and a great involvement direct from the President of the Republic ”, wrote Junguito Bonnet.
