After several months with the airports closed for commercial flights at the national and international level, the reactivation reached this industry, one of the ones that has taken the greatest precautions to prevent the spread of covid-19.
However, Migración Colombia set off alarms for the failure to comply with the rules that were established for travelers entering the country.

It is worth remembering that, as far as is known, the first case of the new coronavirus in the national territory, diagnosed on March 6, was that of a Colombian who days before had arrived from Italy, one of the sources of contagion worldwide then.
Since last October 1, when the PCR test began to be required to enter the country, more than nine thousand national and foreign citizens have arrived, and at least 70 of them have not complied with the order to present a sample that certifies that they are not carriers of the virus.

In addition, one of the most worrying issues is that five passengers have already been identified who traveled “knowing that they were positive cases for covid-19,” according to Migración Colombia.

In front of the airlines that have transported said travelers, the head of the immigration authority clarified that an administrative investigation has been initiated, which could lead to them a penalty of up to 12 million pesos, for each of the travelers.
