Hiannick Kamba, a Congolese footballer who played for Schalke 04, was found alive after he was left for dead in 2016.
The 33-year-old footballer would have posed as deceased so that his wife would collect the life insurance that he had in Germany.

Supposedly he had died in January 2016 after suffering a traffic accident in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, according to the German newspaper ‘Bild’.
More than four years after his disappearance, Kamba was discovered alive this week in Ruhr, Germany, where he allegedly He worked as a chemical technician at an energy provider.
The main hypothesis that is handled is that the player’s ex-wife developed the plan to collect the death insurance. The case is handled by prosecutor Anette Milk.

Milk stated that Kamba himself said that he was abandoned by his friends on the day of the events and that he came in 2018 to the German embassy in Kinshasa to report the “false news” about his death.
Now Kamba will be a witness at trial for alleged insurance fraud.
