The mountain reached the RCN Virtual Classic with the second stage that went from Fusagasugá to Bogotá, over a 58-kilometer route, in which Alexander Gil from EPM Scott was able to prevail.
Two from Caldas: Juan Diego Hoyos, from Colnago Team, and Wálter Pedraza, from Supergiros Susuerte, Mayor of Manizales, Gobernación de Caldas, were fourth and seventh, respectively. Both maintain that position in the individual general.
The first category mountain prize in the Alto de Rosas was a challenge for the lot, which understood it that way, but as the kilometers passed, it saw the cyclists who would finally contest the positions of honor in the capital of the Republic.
Gil, from EPM Scott; Ramírez, from Avinal GW Sistecredito, and Arroyave, from UAE Team Colombia, took a certain advantage over the leading lot in the ascent, a difference that they consolidated in the descent and flat terrain to reach Bogotá and climb to the podium of the fraction.
This Sunday the third and last fraction will be played in the 1995 world cycling championship circuit in Duitama. It has a 34.3 km route, two second category mountain prizes, and three flying goals.
