Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning were devastating in Medellín due to heavy rains.
According to the Administrative Department for Disaster Risk Management (DAGRD), five trees fell, six homes were flooded in the sectors of San Javier, Villatina and La Pradera, and there were three landslides.

“Three depressed roads were flooded in Bulerías, the Musicians Park and the depressed one of the Cattle Fair, in which there were two trapped vehicles and in all the incidents two injured were treated. We activated social services through the Inclusion Secretariat for three families who had damage to their belongings, “explained Alethia Arango, director of DAGRD.
During the reported emergencies some vehicles and motorcycles had difficulty getting around.

At this time of Wednesday morning tree removal progresses, but no traffic congestion is reported, according to the Ministry of Mobility of Medellín.

Arango asked citizens to be alert to the rains and immediately call line 123 to register incidents. He also said that the rainy season is just beginning and called for caution in the streets.
