As José Heriberto Moreno López, a native of Barranquilla, the man who drowned this Saturday afternoon on the beaches of Puerto Colombia, Atlántico, exactly in the sector known as La Bomba, in Salgar, was identified.
What witnesses assure is that the deceased today was taking a bath in the sea, when the strong waves swept him away and ingested water.
At that moment, a lifeguard jumped into the water and rescued him. Immediately, he performed the resuscitation maneuvers, but he did not respond.
After knowing what happened, the mayor of Puerto Colombia, William Vargas, ordered the closure of these places, since bathers are not complying with the measures arranged to prevent this type of situation from occurring.
Through the Wasapea line of EL HERALDO, a video arrived in which it is observed how the rescuer with the help of another person removes the body of Moreno López from the water and then revives him with the help of a woman.
Yesterday in that same town, several lifeguards rescued seven young people who were drowning on Pradomar beaches. Fortunately, the fact did not happen to major.
