Last April, William Orlando Galvis, a citizen of the municipality of Mosquera, Cudinamarca, stabbed Canela, his companion animal who died.

A prosecutor from the Space Group in the Fight Against Animal Abuse (Gelma) achieved, through a preliminary agreement, a sentence of 12 months in prison and inability for three years to have animals for this individual. This is the first conviction of this type in the department of Cundinamarca.
