An inmate of the El Bosque District jail tested positive for coronavirus among the tests that the District Health Secretariat is carrying out in the prisons of Barranquilla.
“The 26-year-old inmate entered the district prison on March 6, so we ruled out that he entered infected. The prisoner is isolated and we have determined, with the Ministry of Health, to perform tests on inmates who had contact with him“Said the city government secretary, Clemente Fajardo.

Fajardo reported that the patient is asymptomatic and in good health.
The result was announced this afternoon, after the delivery of samples evaluated by the Simón Bolívar University Laboratory.

The official said that sampling will begin to the guards who provide surveillance in the prison.
