Newall’s sister-in-law, journalist Johana Quintero, was the one who made the case known to the Cali newspaper Qhubo. “He is a native, a fisherman. Claudia, Fausto’s wife, had gone to San Andrés for a month to carry out procedures after the death of the father of two of her children and, last week she returned to the island of Providencia to pick up her eight-year-old daughter Megan. , and returned to San Andrés, where he survived the Iota.

According to Blu Radio, one of its journalists, in the middle of the work of touring the houses of the island, came across Fausto’s mother. At the scene, the brother, Leodán Newall, told the media that they were fine, “with the energy of having survived.”

In addition, he confirmed that Fausto was in his truck, in which he usually transports loads. The journalist Uriel Rodríguez found the truck of the man, who was leaving the house to start a tour.
