Father in Cesar accidentally killed his one-year-old son

“No parent should bury their children,” says the popular comment. But if there is something worse than burying them, it is killing them, even more so if it happens accidentally. It happened on Tuesday, November 24, to a father, in the department of Cesar.

That day, as usual, the father of the one-year-old boy went to the parking lot where he leaves his vehicle, in the Fray Joaquín neighborhood, in the municipality of La Paz. However, just an instant after accelerating the car out of the garage, he had to stop.

The little one, according to the authorities’ report, he was playing in the back of the car, when his father, without realizing it, began to reverse.

After feeling the impact and stopping, the father picked up the little boy and went to Valledupar, the capital of the department, to take him to a medical center, however, the child died on the way.

What the doctors at the clinic said is that the death, apparently, was a consequence of the head trauma after the blow. The Police, however, are delving into the reason for the accident that has shocked the municipality.

To the family, devastated by the tragedy, A team from the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (Icbf) approached to provide support, reported the newspaper El Heraldo.
