Farc recognizes responsibility in the homicide of Álvaro Gómez Hurtado and others – JEP Colombia – Justicia

On the morning of this Saturday, the president of the JEP, Patricia Linares, announced that the Truth and Responsibility Acknowledgment Chamber (SRVR) of the jusrisdiction, after a meeting held on September 25, received a letter on behalf of the former Secretariat of the Farc, in which it offers to contribute truth, clarify the events that occurred and assume responsibility early in 6 homicides that occurred between 1987 and 2002, among them that of Álvaro Gómez Hurtado.

These cases, according to Linares, are those of Gómez Hurtado, which occurred on November 2, 1995; that of Hernando Pizarro León-Gómez, February 25, 1995; José Fedor Rey, known as ‘Javier Delgado’, June 30, 2002; Jesús Antonio Bejarano, September 15, 1999; General (r) Fernando Landazábal Reyes, May 12, 1998; and that of the representative to the Chamber Pablo Emilio Guarín, which occurred on November 15, 1987.

As explained by the president of the JEP, this letter, dated September 30, 2020, It is signed by Julián Gallo Cubillos, Pastor Lisandro Alape Lascarro and Pablo Catatumbo Torres Victoria, and their attorneys.
