Everton and James Rodríguez qualified for the quarterfinals of the English League Cup after comfortably surpassing West Ham with a 4 to 1 win. The Colombian started and did not disappoint the confidence of coach Carlo Ancelotti as he was one of the players with the best performance in Wednesday’s game, being important in the game offensive collective and starring in several quality passes.

Three annotations by scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin and one more by Richarlison gave the ‘Toffees’ qualification to the quarterfinals of the tournament, contest in which they won their three games with goals, the previous ones were 3-0 against Salford City and 5-2 against Fleetwood.

James’ team continues on a historic streak at the start of the season. The blues have played 6 games in this course and they all won them: three for the Premier League (tournament in which they are leaders) and all three for the Carabao Cup.

This Thursday the draw for the quarterfinals will take place, where the eight best teams in the tournament will be. We will have to wait almost three months to have action again in this championship since the next round will be played in the penultimate week of December.

Now the ’10’ of the Colombian National Team and his teammates will have to think again about the English league since this Saturday they play against Brighton, for the fourth date, in a match that will start at 9:00 am Colombian time.
