The landing of the plane that brought the 50,000 doses of vaccines stole the attention of Colombians on Monday and revived hope to get out of the pandemic, which is about to celebrate a year in the country.

However, during the event, to which the Presidency of the Republic did not allow the attendance of the press precisely because of the conditions of the health emergency, in force until February 28, many officials from the Iván Duque administration arrived, who even took a selfie took.

At least that was the perception of Esteban Santos, who made the comment through his Twitter account:

Days before, the youngest of the Saints had made other comments in reference to the arrival of vaccines in the country. In a trill highlighted that it was “as delayed” and in other asked not to focus on viral issues but to remember that “Colombia continues without vaccines and starting with the most violent month since the signing of the Peace Agreement.”

This is how that moment was lived, around noon on Monday, February 15:

However, naturally the comment caused a sting in Uribismo, the ruling party, and one of the first to respond was María Fernanda Cabal.

The senator referred to the trip of the then president Juan Manuel Santos to receive the Nobel Peace Prize that he was awarded in 2016.

At that time, the presidential family traveled with various cabinet members, peace negotiators, politicians and journalists to Oslo, Norway for the event.

In her comment, Cabal was disgusted by the money that was used for the trip.

As usual, both comments have received hundreds of reactions for and against the words of Santos and Cabal.
