Esteban Chaves’ team changed its name for 2021 – Cycling – Sports

The Colombian will continue in 2021 with the squad that until 2020 was called Mitchelton-Scott.

The Australian cycling team Michelton-Scott, which includes, among others, the British Simon Yates, the australian Michael Matthews and the colombian Esteban Chaves, announced this Friday that its official name for this year is Team BikeExchange.

This is the fifth name that the Australian team has acquired, since 2012, which for the second consecutive year will be on the World Tour, the highest category of the International Cycling Union (UCI) for teams.

It had previously been called Orica-GreenEdge (between 2012 and 2015), Orica-BikeExchange (2016), Orica-Scott (2017) and Mitchelton-Scott (since 2018).

The new sponsor, after which the team is named, is a company specializing in the sale of bicycles and accessories online.

In accordance with its new name, the BikeExchange has announced that from now on it will use Bianchi bikes, instead of Scott’s, and its new official jersey will sport black, white and light blue.
